I've loved Galveston since my first visit in my late teens - I'm now mid-sixties - and would love to live there full time after I retire, though my hubby isn't too enchanted with the idea. Galveston feels like a second home to me, and the minute I drive over the causeway, I feel at home and at peace. My daughter-in-law has a condo there, so we visit often, sometimes as often as every six weeks, though sometimes months slip by before we can escape Garland and head to the Island. No visit is ever quite long enough.
I have a couple of delightful grandsons, ages 9 and 14 and four equally delightful step-grandchildren from 3 to 14.
