I have always enjoyed computers. I started out working using the old double entry bookkeeping system. I started using computers in th 1970's. I had my first personal computer in the late 70's and could only play games on it. lol It was a Xerox that my stepdad had brought home from work. I think it had some bookkeeping programs on it too, but I didn't use them. When I first got on the internet in 2001, of course I looked up Galveston. I registered on this site 9-26-2001, as virginiabrown. But I forgot I had registered and registered again in 2003. Now here I am again registering again in 2008.  So I have been enjoying it for a long time. I was born and raised in Fort Worth and have been coming to Galveston since I was born in 1944. So my visits go back further then my memories. I guess that is why I love it there. To me it is the most relaxing place I could be.

Your pictures are awesome. They make me want to cry. Just reminds me of my many trips to Galveston from Ky. as a kid and the woman sitting with you looks so much like my mother when she was young and healthy. Thanks for sharing them with us!!!Smile

Your pictures bring me back. I have similar ones of the My family on the Jersey shore in the 60's.
