  • Boudreaux's on the Bayou (Blue Hole)
    05-24-2009 11:40 AM

A must for colorful local entertainment. Outside seating, a band, good margaritas..good fried shrimp basket. I had to ask if they had fresh shrimp and the waiter said they did and would make my basket with them. If I wouldn't have asked, I think the shrimp would be frozen. The fries are really good.

A fun place...and off the beaten path.

Lynnie, how come nobody told me they had re-opened?  Last time I really looked, there was a good sized sailboat sitting in the parking lot, almost blocking the front door.  Drove right by Heards Lane on 61st just a week or so ago, without even glancing in that direction.  Didn't even ding on them being open now. Remember, the Blue Hole was our next planned cyber tribe meeting place just before Ike hit and put a bunch of plans on hold, big time.

This is good news.  When are we gonna re-schedule our get together there?

Yep, and I pulled into the parking lot the other day to make sure, but I didn't have time to go in.  (Yeah, I know, time is all I do have, but I didn't have any that day).  So, we gotta have a cyber-tribe meeting there in the near future, even if it ain't the Blue Hole any more.  Boudreaux will admit us, I betcha, if you will just talk to him with the NOLA accent. .

Oh Yeah!! We're in for a cyber-tribe meeting to be held there. We LOVED it when it was The Blue Hole Big Smile

Me, too but then we can't make any more wise cracks about Dawg's blue hole after eating all those spicy crabs and needing an ice water enema!

    Some wisecracks never die.  Unfortunately.

But, I'm willing to be the "butt" of the joke if that's what it takes to get another party at a neat place in the pipeline.  If I must, I will sacrifice my dignity for the cause.  That's the kind of selfless guy I am.  Angel
