  • Dutch Kettle-A little Island Treasure?
    04-13-2009 6:37 PM

For those of you that don't know, this is the Black building next to Commodore, that always looks like it is closed... It is OPEN, 24 hours in fact. GREAT breakfast food and the price is right! It is a little coffee shop, we're not talking  bells and wistles here, and it is a smoking place; Always people in there, never crowded though, and the employees are nice as they come.

This may be one of the best kept secrets on the island!

We stopped in there for a soft drink (mainly to enable a restroom stop) when we were wandering the seawall during MardiGras, and they were ever so nice.  The waitress took time to chat with us and encouraged us to linger until the rain let up.  Glad to hear their breakfast is good.  We'll have to try it next trip.

This establishment has been around for sooooo long! This is where we would eat after surfing when I was in high school!

You are unique just like everyone else. Hmm

This is a good place for take out.  Only people who dine in are chimneys and assorted chain smokers.Tongue Tied
