Galveston.com & Company is seeking two seasonal employees for our call center. This position will run from now through Labor Day (Sept 7, 2009). Hours will vary between 30 and 35 hours weekly. The positions are both for nights & weekends. Weekday nights may begin as early as 4:30pm through 10pm. Weekends may range from 8am to 10pm depending on the shift. Employees will have the option to work from home after a two-week in office training period.

Responsibilities include:
- Call Center staff are responsible for handling incoming calls inquiring on:
                General Galveston information
                Searching for and booking hotel rooms
                Booking airport transfers
                Booking cruise ship parking
                Selling tickets to local shows and events all through our proprietary software.

Qualifications should include:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-A positive attitude is extremely important - employees may be the first impression guests receive of Galveston Island.
-Ability to work independently
-Strong organizational; interpersonal and telephone skills
-Computer with high-speed internet
-Attention to detail and accuracy
-Computer & internet savvy
-Quiet work environment
-Punctuality is 100% critical.
-General knowledge of Galveston is preferred
