My wife and I stayed in galveston last year for our anniversary and had our dogs with us.  We chose the Reef Resort because they were amazinly pet friendly and allowed our full grown great dane, pug, and a great dane puppy to stay.  The staff was very nice and loved the dogs so much my dane puppy ended up with a pic. on their bulletin board.  They made us promise to come back to see how much he grew.  Well its time to head back to galveston and from all I can figure out The Reef Resort has not reopened since Ike.  Now I can't seem to find anywhere that will accept all of our dogs.  We now have two large great danes and a pug.  The main reason we go to the beach is because the dogs love it and my oldest great dane (10) is quite possibly on his last summer.  Does anyone know where we could find a room for this herd?  Thanks much!

Click on my name and scroll down to the very bottom and there are a couple files that you can download.  These are excel spreadsheets with many Galveston hotels with their locations, phone numbers, pricing and yes even a column to let ya know if the hotels are pet friendly.  Unfortunately this spreadsheet was created prior to Ike so be sure to call to see if anything has changed.  I know for fact that the Motel6 is pet friendly, but it does not have ocean view .. actually it is probably 5 miles from the ocean.
