  • sushi anyone?
    08-01-2009 10:23 AM

I guess this is where sushi would go... or maybe the seafood section but either way I love yamatos. Yamatos has huge tables with woks in the middle and they will cook for you on the spot, but they also have a awesome set of sushi chefs. These guys are amazing. The pieces are larger than most places and there are alot of options. I got the spider roll, dragon roll, and unagi, tuna, and smoked salmon. It was all awesome. Dont miss it!

Speaking of sushi, I just discovered this past Thursday that Fish Tales even has a seared tuna sushi dish on the menu.  Maybe it's not new for them, I dunno, but it was the first time I had noticed it.   I liked it and I will be eating it again for sure.

Anyway, I've never tried Yamatos, but it sounds like a great place.  Thanks for the tip.

uncooked tuna..I so don't get it. Couldn't you just go to Kroger's pick up some raw seafood, add an avacardo and some lemon juice, heck you wouldn't even have to leave the parking lot. No need to go home to ...er...er cook it.

Hey, I hadn't thought of that! Don't sound half bad.  With a lil' cup of hot saki on the side.  You may have invented a new experience in fine dining, ma'am.  Yes

Heard of it? Heck that's what the guy said to me the other day when I cut him off on the freeway! Cool

Oh wait, we're still speaking of Japenese fish delicacies here.  Yeah, a friend of mine tried it last Wednsday but didn't like it.  We had his funeral Thursday.  Stick out tongue

Yeah, I hear ya, but even though it ain't what it sounds like, it's bad enough alright anyhow.  That's the Japanese name for the fish that's deadly toxic to eat if it isn't fixed right.  Dixie was suggesting it as a sushi dish.  I don't THINK so, thankyew.  Ick!

some things in life are just way beyond me. Fish that could kill you if not cooked right..who's to say the person making it isn't doing it for the first time. hummmmmmmmmmmm dead you

another thing..have you heard the TV commercial for Abian--some sort of sleeping pill. the ad saids," may cause nighttime eating or driving"

two events I like to be wide awake for..driving and cooking!!!

how DO they sell that drug. I would only take it if a wide awake night shift Nurse was wacthing me all night.

It is Ambien, and yes, this does happen...a friend of mine has woken herself up standing in front of the fridge eating...hubby takes it and has no clue of what he did or was doing even though we all thought he was perfectly cognizant after taking it at about 10 pm/

Hmm.  I believe I'll pass on the Ambien then.  I'm already clueless enough, thanks.  Confused

Ambien is great stuff if you don't have side effects.  I've never slept well when traveling and Ambien is the first thing I pack when I plan a getaway.  No eating, driving, or memory problems - just half a pill and 7 hours of sound, dreamless sleep, but easy to wake from at any point in the night if waking is necessary

Well, I'm afraid the very last thing in the world that I need is a sleeping aid.

I am glad tat the pill works so well for you. Sleep is a very important part of our days. esp.when travling in unknown places with diff. peoples and dangers.

me, i was just kidding about my comments on the pill. i realy have nothing against it..the TV commercial is what I am really messin with. Me, I am like 'Ol Dagw, a little hot milk, the 10 o'clock news and I sleep like a rock.

do you want to hear my opinion on the Viagr ( little blue pill) commericial?
