Cold front to bring real taste of autumn

The strongest cool front this season should bring a chill to the air and the coolest temperatures since last spring to the area. The cold front, which may be preceded by a chance of showers and thunderstorms, will move through the area Wednesday night, bringing highs in the 60's for Thursday. Temperatures will fall into the 50's near the coast by Thursday mornings (see map of expected low temperatures courtesy of the National Weather Service):
